Project: Content Marketing (Brochure)
The Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA) has long been recognized as a strategic hub for venture capital activity in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. By 2006 (the association’s 20th anniversary), more than 500 venture capital professionals from 125 firms belonged to MAVA, with members collectively managing more than $10 billion in capital.
In addition to serving investment professionals, MAVA has also had a long history of entrepreneurial outreach. During their 2006 anniversary year, MAVA created two affiliate programs, VentureLink and CEOConnect, to solidify the relationship between local entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. MAVA staff wanted a new brochure they could use to announce the two new affiliate programs and drive the best and brightest of the region’s entrepreneurial ranks to apply.
I crafted the copy for the new brochure (excerpt shown above), which was designed to:
- honor and celebrate the pivotal role that company founders play in the venture lifecycle, and
- inspire successful entrepreneurs to apply for one or both of the new affiliate programs
