Project: Content Marketing (Solutions Brief)
By the early 2000s, supply chain management software vendor Manugistics (since acquired by JDA Software) had assembled an innovative and comprehensive set of demand and pricing management solutions that were hard to beat.
As an integral part of the company’s Demand and Pricing Management Suite, the Promotions Optimization solution helped give retailers the ability to effectively plan, analyze, and maximize return on their promotional investments. And the benefits could be huge: by helping users to “know what works” when it came to their promotional spend, the software had the potential to generate tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in additional profit per year.
The VP of Brand Marketing wanted to create a new marketing piece to engage with prospects and showcase the functionality and quantified benefits of Promotions Optimization.
Drawing on my in-depth knowledge of the supply chain management software market (including customer pain points and emotional drivers) I researched and wrote the Manugistics Promotions Optimization solutions brief. This 2-page marketing tool tells a compelling story for Fortune 500 senior marketing executives who needed to get a better handle on their promotional spend and resulting outcomes:
